Vanderbilt pulled off a stunning upset against No. 1 Alabama today, winning 40-35. The Commodores jumped out to a 13-0 lead early, including a pick-six on Alabama’s first possession. Vanderbilt’s quarterback, Diego Pavia, was nearly flawless, throwing for 252 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 57 yards. A crucial 35-yard touchdown on a 4th-and-1 play in the third quarter helped secure Vanderbilt’s first-ever victory over a top-ranked team in what is now one of the biggest upsets in college football this season.
