Coming in hot! The Las Vegas Golden Knights are off to a blazing start, boasting a perfect home record in their first three games, sitting at 3-0 for the fifth time since the franchise joined the NHL in 2017. Their style of play and dominance speaks volumes about the success the Golden Knights have achieved since their inaugural season.
Jack Eichel has wasted no time climbing the leaderboard, currently in 1st place in points and assists with 6 assists and 1 goal, and has been named the 3rd star of the week. As long as Eichel stays healthy, there’s a good chance this high-caliber performance will remain consistent throughout the season, with the stellar supporting cast he now has in Las Vegas alongside Ivan Barbashev and Mark Stone. This first line has already proven to be a challenge for opposing teams, with each of them scoring a goal against the Blues on Friday night.
Sunday night’s game against the Anaheim Ducks was an impressive showcase of goaltending, defense, and offensive power, as the Golden Knights cruised past the Ducks with a 3-1 victory at home in Vegas. Ilya Samsonov stymied the Ducks, stopping 22 of the 23 shots taken, with Troy Terry scoring the only goal for Anaheim. Vegas has already shown they’re a force at home, netting 15 goals in the first three games—the most in franchise history for the opening stretch. The Knights now look to extend their winning streak as they embark on a challenging road trip to the East Coast, facing the Capitals, Lightning, and Panthers.
