Vegas Golden Knights 1 vs. Edmonton Oilers 0
In a game that featured two high-powered offenses, it was surprisingly a defensive battle. The lone goal of the game came from Ivan Barbashev, who scored an unassisted tally to give Vegas the edge. Golden Knights goaltender Adin Hill was the star of the night, shutting out Connor McDavid and the Oilers with a stellar performance. Hill now boasts an 11-4-2 record with a 2.67 GAA and a .900 save percentage over 17 starts this season.

The Kraken played disciplined hockey, taking just one penalty late in the third period for delay of game. Jaden Schwartz played a key role, registering one goal and one assist to help lift Seattle past Carolina.
Boston Bruins 3 vs. Detroit Red Wings 2 (OT)
A classic hard-hitting battle between two rivals, this game saw nine total players sent to the penalty box in a physical showdown. Detroit struck first in both the first and third periods, but Boston immediately responded each time. The game was ultimately decided in overtime, where Pavel Zacha scored the game-winning goal, sealing a gritty 3-2 victory for the Bruins.
Montreal Canadiens 2 vs. New York Islanders 1 (OT)
The Canadiens narrowly escaped with a 2-1 OT victory over the Islanders, thanks to Nick Suzuki’s clutch game-winning goal. Despite 48 total shots being fired on net, both goalies stood tall. Montreal’s Sam Montembeault was outstanding, making 30 saves on 31 shots, while Ilya Sorokin held his own with 25 saves on 27 shots. In the end, it was Montreal’s goaltending and a late-game push that secured the win.
Pittsburgh Penguins 5 vs. Florida Panthers 4 (OT)
Pittsburgh came out firing, scoring twice in the first period and adding one goal in each of the next two frames. Pickering, Malkin, and Letang each found the net early, while Matthew Tkachuk responded for Florida with one goal. St. Louis Blues 4 vs. Winnipeg Jets 1
In a shocking upset, the St. Louis Blues dominated the powerhouse Winnipeg Jets 4-1. The first period was a slow, scoreless affair, but the Blues came alive in the second, quickly figuring out Winnipeg’s scheme. Jordan Kyrou and Dylan Holloway both scored in the second period, putting the Jets on their heels. Kyrou struck again in the third, with Mark Scheifele providing Winnipeg’s only goal immediately after. Robert Thomas added an empty-netter, sealing a massive win for St. Louis.
Calgary Flames 3 vs. Columbus Blue Jackets 0
What is usually a competitive matchup turned into a one-sided affair, as the Flames shut out Columbus 3-0. The game started slow and stayed that way, with Rasmus Andersson, Kevin Bahl, and Yegor Sharangovich tallying the only goals. Columbus looked deflated after conceding the first goal, and after Bahl made it 2-0, the Blue Jackets appeared completely out of sync. A comfortable win for Calgary.
