Another win as Denver’s defense was buzzin all game long, not allowing Houston to do much offensively all while also making (K) Ka’imi Fairband Houston’s MVP on the day scoring all 15 of the Texans points. CJ Stroud started off hot but left the game early with a concussion after taking a devastating hit from (DEN) Kris Abrams-Draine early in the second quarter. Backup QB Davis Mills was forced to take the captain’s chair facing extreme pressure from Denver’s defense and had no chance to move the ball against finishing the game 17 completions on 30 passing attempts.
The defense did their job, and J.K Dobbins was given a decent workload running the rock which wore down Houston’s defensive line as he had 61 yards on 15 rushing attempts. Bo Nix was a huge factor in the running game, being one of Denver’s most lethal options on the ground with Dobbins and Harvey. Nix only had 3 rushing attempts but gained 36 yards, being the 2nd leading rusher behind Dobbins.
The entire team has been lights out in every aspect of the game, on both sides of the ball, but Nix unapologetically has earned his respect and has found ways to win by making solid plays during crunch time. The 2nd year sophomore has shown signs of a primed veteran with a decade of professional experience as he made very minimal mistakes all game long against one of the most mechanically sound defenses in the NFL.

Denver isn’t taking any prisoners, on the road or at home, and has the entire AFC in a chokehold, refusing to be beaten and is now on a 6-game winning streak. Remaining undefeated at home, every team that steps foot in Denver’s domain will certainly be questioning whether they’ll even be able to move the ball against Denver’s defense effectively. Come Thursday, the struggling (2-6) Las Vegas Raiders will attempt to do just that. Move the ball and put up a fight against one of the league’s best.
