If you’re not all in, you’re all out.
And Shifty Shiffy was all the way in there… At the 2026 FIS Alpine Ski World Cup, that is.
After just turning 31 a couple weeks ago and winning a gold medal in the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympic games roughly a month ago, Shiffrin has domineered her craft and has continued to put on miraculous performances as if she is just beginning to roll into her prime. Mikaela was pushing hard, hunting for speed behind every turn, making no mistakes whatsoever. Concentrated and dialed in, securing a record breaking 110th World Cup victory, 6th Crystal Globe tying the all-time record set by Annemarie Moser-Proll, and 9th Slalom win of the season.

Shiffrin’s statement on her successful 2025-26 season:
“This season has been so exciting. Quite like a whirlwind with all the wonderful races that we had, and with the Olympics and with everything it’s been really pushing at a high level for a long time, and I’m grateful for it. I’m grateful to have the chance to be getting into the start each time, and to push my own level.”
In what most would call an individual sport, Mikaela refuses to shy away from showing so much love and commendable selfless gestures toward her trainers, whom she refers to as her teammates. It has been incredible to watch such an extraordinarily talented athlete excel after countless hours of dedicated practice and preparation on her journey to become one of the most decorated sports figures in the entire world.
Being able to take care of her mental health after the passing of her father displays the amount of discipline and courage that Shiffrin has had all these years to continue competing at such a notable level. Speaking of levels, there’s levels to this. And there is no one on her level or even close.
Shiffrin on what this victory means to her:
“I think this is just a symbol of the work that my team has been putting in, and all of the support that I’ve had these years. Especially the last three years to get back to the chance to be that high-level, and to win a globe… With the injuries and with everything it took a big effort for my team. So, that’s totally something that we did together.”

Shiffy “aka” Miki, wrapping up an unforgettable season, will now head back to Vail, Colorado to take a breather, soak it all in, and cherish the moments from the 2025-26 season now added to her illustrious legendary career. In her trophy case now displays six World Cup Crystal Globes. (2017, 2018,2019, 2022, 2023, 2026)
The “Vail Girl” Mikaela Shiffrin, now with a total of 18 Crystal Globes in her shrine, makes her the best of all time.
A one in a million, 30 minutes from Lake Dillon.
She can now rest peacefully in her home and regain her sanity. This season’s work is complete, but “Shifty Shiffy” is far from done with plenty left in her tank.
