The Denver Broncos management team implemented a strategy over the past two years to build a solid team around a fresh franchise QB for a decade now, and it is finally looking a lot more promising as each day passes. Today, after an exhausting few months of serious contract negotiations, the Denver Broncos made the decision to buckle down and secure a home for their future superstar OLB Nik Bonitto.
Denver is now “Casa Bonitto” to Nik now that he has agreed to a 4-year extension for $120 million. He will receive $26.5M per year, with an upside to $30 million per season with incentives, which he will more than likely receive based on his performance. A stupendous contract for another young “Von Miller” caliber LB that won’t break the bank. This deal is beneficial for both parties and reflects how the Denver Broncos organization is willing to meet in the middle and take care of their investments in the long run.

It’s mind boggling what an organization can do to build around a young Quarterback on a rookie contract. Not to mention the Denver Broncos will eventually get all the dead cap cleared next season. Broncos GM George Paton and company is letting it be known and putting the league on notice that good old “Walmart Money” is being strategically distributed in the right places for a successful run and many more. Jerry Jones down in Dallas could learn a thing or two from Denver’s front office. They have been on the horn and in their bag all off-season to extend contracts and acquire new talent. Now, Broncos Country is head over heels with the seasoned roster looking like a dominant force in the AFC West.
