**Dodgers vs. Rays – Ohtani Rewrites History**

Another epic battle between two of MLB’s most entertaining teams led to a dramatic, nail-biting comeback win last night by the Tampa Bay Rays, who are now 65-64. Ohtani made history the night before, becoming the sixth player in history to join the exclusive 40/40 Club in a single season with a walk-off grand slam and a stolen base. He is now the fastest player in MLB history to achieve this feat. Last night, Ohtani, looking to win his third Most Valuable Player Award, cranked another home run, giving him 41 on the season, putting him second in the league behind the missile-launching king, Aaron Judge, who has been an absolute unit with the bat all season long.

Fortunately for the Rays, Jose Caballero and Junior Caminero were able to cool the Los Angeles Dodgers down on the mound and went yard, collecting another remarkable win for the Rays. This brought them back above .500 and gave the club substantial momentum going into the final game of the series. However, throughout the game, the Rays sustained a few wounds, at one point giving up a four-run lead to one of the league’s elite pitchers, Clayton Kershaw. No team in the MLB should ever allow Kershaw a chance to pitch with any sort of lead. The Tampa Bay Rays barely held on after several lucky plays, despite making multiple errors on the field and committing boneheaded mistakes on the bases that gave L.A. far more chances than they should have had.

With the series now tied at 1-1, it’ll be interesting to see if the Tampa Bay Rays can depart Los Angeles with a win, putting them at 2-1 for the weekend. As Ohtani continues his march toward one of the greatest offensive seasons in club history, and the Rays push them to the limit, game three of this short series could easily go either way.
